Do you consider yourself a writer?
Yup. Now I just need to figure out how to turn it into a living.
How long have you been writing?
I've been writing seriously since...2000? 2001? Since then I've published two collections of my stories, though one is no longer available because I'm not too proud of it nowadays.
What got you started?
I'd kind of dabbled off and on before but what really kicked me into gear was my frustration with the woefully inaccurate dinosaurs in Jurassic Park III. (I'm a pretty big dinosaur nerd.) So I thought to myself "You know what, I could do better than this," so I threw together a setting and set out to do just that. Fifteen-some-odd years later, I'm still writing about that setting.

Um... I started writing in late October of 2013. Before that, I had written no fiction at all, save for a short story my senior year of high school which I think was really bad. (I don't still have it, though!)

I started to write for recreational purposes (fanfics and such) at the age of fifteen, and started professionally at the age of 25.

I consider myself someone who enjoy's what they're doing. Though it is my main income I'll call myself a writer when I've been writing professionally for ten years :) I still have about 8 years to go XD

I've been writing professionally for about ten years now. By this I mean, writing with a professional mindset. Writing things I hope are at a professional level

For as long as I can remember. I wrote on every available paper as a kid. Now I'm 21 and I still do that, but I publish some of my work.

I think there is a difference between and author and a writer. I think i'm a writer. I love to write short stories and pretty much stories that resemble books that I've read (mainly because those are the kind of ides in my head when I write). I've been writing short stories since I was 15 (I've only actually finished 2 stories since then and they definitely need reworking because they are definitely at a teenaged level).

I have been writing since I could hold a pencil. My first publishing credit was at the age of ten. That is also the first money I made writing. (I won top prize in a contest which included money and having my story published).
I hate to admit how old I am...but I have been published author since 1957. I write across genres.

Probably since I was about seven/eight years old, that I can remember. Every since I realised I had an imagination that I could harness. Although I've been on and off with it until I found the type of books I really enjoy writing

I've been writing since high school, but I've taken breaks from fiction writing and/or kept a journal in between. It's kind of hard not to write for me. I need a way to express myself so it's either this or art.

I started writing in my tweens, in fact, that was all that I did. So, basically, I have been writing for seven-eight years now. Wow.
