I would usually say diet coke but tea is also a good substitute. I like it hot when I'm not feeling well or it is cold outside (which doesn't happen a lot in Texas.) We always have iced tea in the refrigerator which my husband couldn't get through a day without.

I live on iced tea, unsweetened, with lemon. I drink at least 1/2 gallon per day, and definitely drink it when I am writing! I hate the taste of coffee, but love the smell.

I just quit coffee and only drink tea or water now. I usually write notes by hand and then type on the laptop. I also keep a lot of memos on my phone if I have an idea and I'm not near my laptop.

It's got to be tea for me. Milk and two sugars is how I like it. Coffee is too bitter for me, though I am slowly making the switch for when it comes to a general boost during the day. Green tea may be an option if I'm feeling particularly adventurous, but mostly I get stuck in my old ways .

I drink both coffee and tea. I think it depends on my mood and level of exhaustion when it comes to choosing one of those beverages over the other. I drink coffee every morning because my kids wake me up at the crack of dawn but i love a good cup of tea in the evening or when I'm sick.

I do one cup of coffee each morning and then when I sit down to write I make sure I have some kind of tea. I'm partial to breakfast tea, oolong, or earl grey for writing.

The first thing I do every morning is drink two cups of black Sumatra blend coffee. I can't get going without it! Then I drink tea or soda during the day. Coffee after 10AM always gives me a headache for some reason.

I just brewed myself another cup ... gotta have my coffee. And I feel robbed if I can't have it super hot with Ovaltine and milk. I used to drink it by the pot, but I limit myself to 2-3 cups these days.

If I'm doing something creative, always tea. I'm having trouble choosing a flavor I really like though.
If it's during the day or I'm awake and active, I drink coffee to keep myself awake and in the mind set to be able to move.
Both have different necessary uses in my life.
