The title of the book is tempting enough for a paranormal fan like me. I haven't read anything from this genre that is memoir style, so it will be something new but familiar at the same time. I'm not sure about the topic of child abuse though, but I'll give it a chance. Good review.

The fact that it's nonfiction appeals to me even more.

Last book I have read that is quite different to the ones I usually choose is Coraline and that already gave me the creeps in some parts of the book, but in the end the events where quite expected. So having read the review to The Boy Who Lived with Ghosts makes me wonder if I can handle it. Will my curiosity win over my cowardness? We'll see!

The review is well constructed and addresses some interesting points/features of the book. It convinced me that the book is worth reading.

A disturbing though often hilarious memoir, told uniquely through the eyes of a young child. This is a coming-of-age story of a boy, growing up in 1960s England. As shocking as it is, this is a story of survival and a boy’s desperate attempts to save his mother from the madness and the horror.

“Mitchell's overview of then rundown Portsmouth, England in the 1960s shocks as h...more

I saw that it was up for a free review here, as a free e-book. I wonder who decides to do it.

What I mean is that yesterday, after I submitted a review, a second review copy was available. Seeing that we all know it's gonna be the October book of the month, I wonder who else decided to review it here.
