My favorite is Stephen King, but there are so many more that deserve my attention as well, like Anne Rice, John Saul, Heather Graham, Janell Taylor, Jane Austin, and so many more but those are the ones that come to mind right now.

It always gives me joy to know I'm not the only one with tastes that reach far and wide in genre and style!

My hands-down favorite is David Foster Wallace. He tackles such a great variety of topics/subjects and writes with a ridiculous intelligence and flair. And the frequent obsession with details and over-analysis jibes almost perfectly with the way I think.

Some other favorites are Dostoevsky, Vonnegut, T.C. Boyle, Jose Saramago, Salman Rushdie, Haruki Murakami, Garrison Keillor, Tom Bissell, and Zadie Smith.

I'm also a fan of Oscar Wilde. I love when he said, "Life imitates art far more than art imitates Life."

Oscar Wilde was a true wit. I can't think of many that have given me more laugh out loud moments than he has.
