There are so many! Either F. Scott Fitzgerald or JK Rowling.

Scott Westerfeld has a crazy imagination and is a great out of the box thinker and Nicholas Sparks is one of the best romantic novelists out there.

I have three favorite authors, and those would be G.K. Chesterton, Michael D. O'Brien and J.R.R. Tolkien. (It's pronounced tohl-KEEN.)

My favorite author would have to be AE Rought. I have only read one of her books, but the level of detail she uses is something I rarely find in more modern books. I was amazed by the end of the first paragraph.

At the moment I am enjoying some of the female Irish authors. They can be funny as well as quirky

I'm glad you said we can have our top 3. That makes my mile long list so much easier to narrow down. lol But my top 3 would have to be:

- Jules Verne
- Scott Westerfeld
- J.K. Rowling

I love all three and I continue to read their books over and over again. :D

I think my favorite' changes too often to make a solid choice. Anne Bishop has been in my top 5 for about 10 years. Everyone else is subject to change.

Can I name like my top ten in no particular order of preference? That is just such a tough question.

My absolute favorite has got to be Brandon Sanderson. The way he creates these new worlds and gives them their own magic system has a high appeal to my fantasy filled mind. Any of his books are a great escape from reality, from Mistborn, to Elantris, right up to The Way of Kings. They are all amazing and all are worth a read, or ten.
