J D Robb's (aka Nora Roberts) "In Death" series
Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series
J R Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood series
Sherrilyn Kenyon - everything!
Harry Potter: actually read this series to my daughter as a bedtime story. Since I'm from Texas, Hermione was not even remotely a familiar name. We called her Hermine;-)
Lora Leigh's Breed series

I have been seeing a lot of JD Robb's In Death books being pimped. I think that might have to be my next series, once I catch up on A Song of Ice and Fire.

I'm not very religious but my favorite series would have to be the Left Behind Series. It's so enthralling and engaging. I've read every single one.

Who wrote this one? Is it the Nora Roberts series?

Harry Potter series. This series definitely has everything -- from suspense to romance, from magical lessons to lessons that every human being needs to learn in life.

I have a whole bunch lol. I'm just going to list them and make it easier:

1. The Anita Blake series by Laurell K. Hamilton
2. The Women of the Otherworld series by Kelley Armstrong (I'm so sad the series ended)
3. The Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon
4. The Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs
5. Kim Harrison's books
6. Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice

The list probably could go on for awhile if I had my bookshelf in front of me lol

that is so true. my favorite memories of my childhood was lining up in anticipation for when the new books came out, and they never disappointed. they somehow managed to be able to attract every single kind of audience.

my sister a while ago got me into the girl with the dragon tattoo series, which was amazing and tortured me to no end to the point that i couldn't go to bed until i had finished reading the entire book. it has so much suspense and thrill. what i would not give to be able to read either this series or the harry potter series again for the first time. :P
