As a kid it was the Redwall series by Brian Jacques, the Chronicles of Narnia, and the Series of Unfortunate Events. In high school it was Twilight, Percy Jackson, and ended with the Hunger Games trilogy. And now instead of reading full on series, I tend to get hooked on an author and start reading their other novels, the similarities of which usually make the separate books almost like a series--at least thematically.

My favourites, in no particular order, are:

Bloodrunners Series by Rhyannon Byrd
Hunger Games Trilogy
Her Russian Protector Series by Roxy Riviera
Shifter Series by Rachel Vincent

I've read them all several times and I love them every time. I love the strong female characters, especially Faythe Sanders in the Shifter series.

Definitely Harry Potter and Maximum Ride. Both are well written and have very strong supporting characters as well as main characters.

I love series. I started with twilight and then went to the black dagger brotherhood series by J.R Ward. The BDB series was one of my favorites as was a demonica series by Larissa Ione. There is also a young adult series by Quinn Loftis that I really like as well.

I have found that when I download a free book from ibooks, that it's usually a series for obvious reasons. a lot of those authors are very talented and end up reading several series that way.

I lean heavily towards fantasy. My favorite series is, by far, The Malazan Book of the Fallen penned by Steven Erikson. Dense, epic, and uncompromisingly ambitious. It's not for everyone, unfortunately... From the onset it'll leave you floundering, searching for the flotsam named familiarity on an ocean of questions. However, if you endure, if you make to the Shore, you'll be rewarded with a singular story of massive proportions.

There are so many series out there that I just don't know where to begin. For starters, Lord of the Rings is definitely at the top of the list with The Chronicles of Narnia close behind along with The Inheritance Cycle and The Sword of Shannara placing third and fourth, and then fifth would have to be The Dragonriders of Pern series with The Heir Chronicles close behind in sixth place and Artemis Fowl at the back of the pack in seventh place. There are many more that I could name, but I think seven is good enough. I am currently reading the Dune series after numerous recommendations by other readers and it could quite possibly makes its way onto this last in the near future, I'll just have to keep reading to find out what happens next.
