Maybe you should move them, though it seems all right to me.

You are very welcome!TLGabelman wrote:Thanks Scott! I really appreciate all your work, Ill think more on how I see recommending books and get back to you.
I think you for your feedback and help. If you all give me lots of feedback and suggestions, I can do my best to make the Bookshelves and other features of the site as great as they can be.

UPDATE: On the sort all page, I added an extra selection to list books of the month. This is cool because then you can view all of our previous books of the month using the various other sort/filter criteria such as sorting by rating or filtering by one's you haven't added to your shelves yet.

Would it be possible at some point to group all books in a series together?
And could we have a field for psuedonyms?
Other than that...awesome
Thank you for the lovely shelves

What do you mean by psuedonyms? For the author's name?Graverobber wrote:I have a few questions/suggestions...

I am thinking about the best way to group books in the same series. What were you thinking in that regard?

Currently I have books by 'Mira Grant'
But (hopefully ) soon I will be adding some by Seanan McGuire...aka 'Mira Grant'.
It would be nice if there was a way to group them together.
And I don't really know...

I can definately group them by author. The easiest way would be to simply sort them by author name.
However, did you want to somehow supercede the current process of splitting them up by rating and/or shelf? Or do you just want books by the same author grouped together if they happen to be on the same rating/shelf?

Actually, I just checked the code to make the change and I noticed that it should already be sorted by author name after shelf/rating. So books by the same author should be listed consecutively if they are either rated the same or on the same shelf besides previously read.

Personally, I'd be happy if I could list a whole series as one entry, I don't know that others would agree though.Scott wrote:You mean on your own shelves?

I would love to be able to have them in series order. I know how difficult it can be to find the correct order for a series when I'm just starting it...much less just knowing which book is first.
