If she were still alive, I would love to have a beer with Harper Lee. Her book, To Kill a Mockingbird, was originally given to me by my grandfather when I was younger and really opened up my eyes to the world around me. It also led to many great conversations with my grandpa. I would love to share some of those conversations with H.L. We, of course, had to read it again as a requirement for school but it has always been one of my favorites. I think she would be an interesting person!

Neil Gaiman. He is currently my favorite author. When I read American Gods, I found myself thinking how could this British guy end up noticing the same things in the world that have (and actually write them down). His writing is always refreshingly intriguing and interesting. I can only imagine what a conversation with him must be like.

It would be a toss up between Richelle Mead, Sherrilyn Kenyon, or Margaret Weis/Tracy Hickman (co-authors). I've been a fan of their works the longest.

I would love to have a drink with Neil Gaiman. His imagination is so quirky and creative and full of real people that you can empathize with. He also seems like the nicest person around. I remember seeing him during a convention scene of the guild as himself and you could tell that he wasn't acting at all and he just radiated a good natured earthiness.

Hemingway would have been fun, if not a little intense. But in all honesty, I think it would be fun to have a drink with J.A. Huss. Maybe Jana Aston too. Steven King could be fun too in a totally creepy way ; )

I would like to go out with Kimberla Lawson Roby. She is such a great writer and brings everything to life. Everything is original and it makes you want to read more and and more. She's awesome.

Wow is that an amazingly fun and exciting question. I have some amazing choices for favorite author.

#1 would be: RHONDA DENNIS
why: Because she is so amazing with her writing talent. She writes books, that after you read them you are forever changed for the better. It is like you made new friends and when the book ends, you are so sad to see them go. Yet you would never want to change the fact that you had met them. To make characters so real is really mind blowing. Its just a one of so many reasons why readers read.
