No doubt my favorite drinking companion would be Stephen King! He has such a following with his books, and movies made from books that I could talk all day about some of the most scary ones I have ever read or watched! Salems Lot kept me up many nights after seeing it back in the days of my childhood. :o

I couldn't go to the bathroom for a year unless someone opened the shower curtain first after I watched The Shining as a kid. When I saw Jack Nicholson kiss the naked lady that then turned into a corpse it traumatized me

I'd also like to have a beer with Lewis Carroll. That dude was a trip. And Roald Dahl. Ok I'll stop

All of them. Because I like beer.

Ditto, PashaRu!

I'm a BIG fan of Stephen King - love his characters, have learned a great deal from his writings about writing, and he just seems like a very cool person. Would love to offer him a bottle of Dragon's Milk (a local craft brew) and see what he thinks of it.

Craig Johnson author of the Walt longmire books. Being from the part of Wyoming that the books are set in gives an amazing ability to correctly set the books in your mind. Would love to see how he decides to set things within the books keeping them vaguely familiar to the real area

I would say John Green. One because he's one of the few authors whose books I read, and two because he's awesome. :D And I don't even drink beer. :)

George R. R. Martin. Just to see what kind of guy he is. His books are amazing. Even though I would prefer he wouldn't kill my favorite characters so often.

Stephen King, J.R.R. Tolkien and Joël Dicker. Many others but they would be my top 3 choices.
