Yvonne Adamson. She's no Shakespeare or Jane Austin, but I reread her book, Bridey's Mountain, every year. In the end, I would like to have a beer with the creator of the characters that have pulled me back to their story every year for over a decade.

My choice would probably be James Crumley...if he was anything like the characters he wrote I'm pretty sure at some point the police would show up! So maybe I'd go with Elmore Leonard instead.

Nice choice. I never even thought of Poe, that would be a definite adventure!

If she was still alive I would love to have a beer with Maeve Binchy. I think she would have been a great laugh down at the pub. :P

Ooh that's a good question. I can think of a few I'd like to have a beer with or just have lunch. If I was just to name one and only one, then I'd have to pick Edgar Allan Poe. I love nearly all of his works and studied quite a few of them in-depth in college. He seems like a most fascinating soul. I'd love to pick his mind and see what made him tick. (If that would be even possible, knowing what I know about him.)

If the author had to be alive, then it'd be a toss up between Stephen King and Amy Tan. (Yes, quite different in their styles of writing, I know). Stephen King is a master of his craft and I love his macabre style of writing. Amy Tan writes some of the most heart touching and emotional books that I've ever read. I would love to hear more about her background and how she is able to write from personal experience and do such an amazing job with it.

I would love to have a beer with Sue Grafton, I'm a huge fan of her Kinsey Millhone series and I think it would be interesting to meet her and discuss Kinsey.

J.K. Rowling ..... I understand that she is a billionaire so she probably won't mind paying for the beers.
