I love her work. I'm hoping in her next book that Anita gets knocked up with Nathaniel baby, or better yet her vampire master

I am a fan of LKH. Did you read Jason yet? Came out last Tuesday.

Have you read Nalini Singh? Her Guild Hunter series is fantastic. The main character of the first book is a vampire hunter BUT instead of killing them for breaking the laws, she just delivers them back to their makers/masters, a sometimes brutal race of beings that they call angels. Typically the vampires she hunts just tried to run away from the hundred years of service they owe their angel as payment for being Made. In the first book of that series, Elena gets tangled up with the Archangel of Manhattan and being just a human she is poorly equipped to play games with the immortals. Unfortunately for her, she has skills they need. Nalini Singh also writes the Psy/Changeling series, which is good, but the guild hunter books are more like the early-middle Anita Blake books.

If you like the the edgy sex in the later Anita Blake books and the Merry Gentry books, I recommend Callie Hart who is an Indy Author currently publishing a seriel novel on Amazon. The first book is free and they're super hot if you don't mind a very alpha male and some fuzzy consent with coercion involved. I have yet to find an author who depicts poly relationships like LKH that I really enjoy.

Cool! Let me know what you think. It helps me improve my recommendations if I learn that others agree with my comparison or don't see them the same way.

I haven't heard of Laurell K Hamilton. What books has she written and what genre? Are there any other authors who are similar?

I'm always looking for new authors and good book recommendations. :-)

Laurell K Hamilton writes in the fantasy/erotic genre. She has the Anita Vampire Hunter series and Anita actually falls in love with a vampire and a were creature. Slightly like the show Buffy. Then she has the Meredith Gentry series which is my favorites and puts a different and erotic spin to the world of the Fae.
