I think I was a big fan of Sarah Dessen. But I also discovered Nancy Werlin (most people don't know her, which is a shame!) and fell in love with her first book and then scrambled around looking for everything else she had written since then. She's awesome too.

A lot of V. C. Andrews fans here...who was a fav of mine as well. I also liked Dean Koontz, Danielle Steel, and those Reader's Digest condensed books back then too.

Stephanie Meyer. I know this is probably a bit of cliche because of the twilight books but I seriously loved those books so much!

J.K. Rowling, Christopher Paolini, and Tamora Pierce. I loved magic and dragons and still do. :)

J.K. Rowling. Her first book was published when I was in middle school and so the rest of them filled my high school years. I enjoyed them so much!

Pretty much like every other wanna-be classy upscale and intelligent girl in high school, my favorite author was Jane Austen. How incredibly original of me.

Kurt Vonnegut. Some older guy that I thought was cool recommended Breakfast of Champions to me and it was all downhill after that. I read all his books through high school and finished by the end of college. My favorite was Galapagos and Bluebeard.

Probably J.K. Rowling (Half-Blood Prince came out while I was in the first year of secondary school) and then Stephen King managed to take over because the Potter series had finished by the time I reached third year :)

As for me I was obsessed with Ellen Hopkins. I loved her writing style so much and how she set up the words on the paper
My friends and I were all obsessed with Ellen Hopkins! I loved her books! My best friend still has almost all of her books even 6 years later

Zadie Smith, Jhumpa Lahiri, and Vladimir Nabokov were my faves in high school, because I was (am?) pretentious and literary and all. But seriously... my yearbook quote was from White Teeth, which I still think was a great novel.

I had a few, but I read Sarah Dessen the most and actually still read anything new she puts out.
