I just can't handle YA Fantasy Fiction. The worlds they try to create just seem so ridiculous to me, and I can't handle all the made up words, mystical creatures, and the like...yuck

Erotica, it's not my type of genre. It's like watching porn. Sorry, not my taste.

I try to steer clear of books that are strictly romance. Now I can enjoy a good action romance, or comedy romance, nut a book that is just romance doesn't have enough content to hold my interest. Plus they all read pretty much the exact same.

I stay away from the "world is ending" type books, and books where everyone ends up miserable in the end. I am ok with non-fiction books about things like Auschwitz, that I know won't end happily for most of the people in the book, but I don't need to also read about fictional characters in horrible circumstances.

I try not to read graphic romance novels because it makes me have unrealistic expectations of normal "encounters".

Science Fiction, I have never been able to grasp the concept. I could never get into Star Wars or Star Trek either. I am not quite sure why but I just can't.

I usually steer clear of historical civil war fiction books. For whatever reason, I enjoy all other fiction accounts of other wars.

I find a lot of romance books a joke. I like to be able to take something away from a book, and the romance genre revolves around pure entertainment for the most part.

Fantasy and horror for obvious reasons.I don't want to be having nightmares of the books I've read.I want to picture them in my head.like an ordinary day.Fantasy because it just seems so unrealistic. I enjoy reading books with realistic everyday life happenings.

I stay clear of horror books completely. I do realize that they are just books, but it freaks me out. Especially because when I read, I feel as if I am in the book so when I read scary stories, it freaks me out and I feel as if I'm constantly checking over my shoulders.

At the moment, I love all except science fiction with moon travel - guess I'm not that crazy about science. Oh, I might start hating vamp fiction soon - it's becoming common and boring, plus sex is always involved.

I tend to stay away from horror, 'cause I'm a huge scaredy cat, haha. I'll most likely start reading them once I live with my boyfriend, so I won't be alone at night.
