No i have not met any author :'( I know Steinbeck is dead, therefore i cannot meet him personally perhaps in the otherworld. He is my only favorite male author. I truly adnired him c: Some day i hope to meet Sandra Cisneros. I love her work especially "The House on Mango Street." My other author lives in Canada c: Mrs Atwood, her novels are simply extraordinary. "The Robber Bride" is still my favorite novel of her. Someday hopefully i will meet them personally it will be my greatest achievements(:

I met Jackie Kay once, the author of The Trumpet - an awesome book which explores a number of sensitive issues: transgender, sexuality, the impact on a son of discovering his father is a woman only when he/she dies.... Jackie comes across as an ordinary woman you would be glad to know as a friend yet she has this amazing ability to write in a penetrating style which stays with you for a very long time.

I have never met an author, but would love to meet so many authors. It would be nice to sit down and have dinner with Sue Grafton or Patricia Cornwell.

So many of you have met so many people! I have never met any authors in person. I feel like it would be too awkward even if I did. Like, "Uh, hey, you write books, huh? That's cool. Me too." Followed by an awkward silence. And then I would just have to slowly walk away before dying of embarrassment.

I have never met a famous author in person, but I don't know if I would want to. I put them quite high on a pedestal and wouldn't want anything, even themselves, to knock them off.

Quite a few at my Henderson's Writers Conference. I guess the most famous would be Mary Wilson from the Supremes after she gave me a autographed copy of her tell-all book. I love her!

I'm not a celebrity groupie by any stretch - wouldn't walk across the street to see most of 'em - but I happened to meet Janine Basinger (film scholar and author of Silent Stars) at a silent film screening several years ago. I think I bought a copy of the book there and had her sign it. That's about all I remember, lol

Because of my line of work (I am a writer), I have met various different writers. I met Charlaine Harris, Jennifer Niven, Lori Ostlund, Ladette Randolph, and many others. I love meeting the masterminds behind these works of art. I have also gained a new appreciation for the craft listening to their stories about the industry.

Yes. I have met Wanda Brunstetter on several occasions. She is a writer of Amish fiction. She has book signings in a town near me and each time I go to meet with her and get books signed. She and I have also e-mailed each other on occasion. She is a very nice, down to earth person who realizes that she would not be where she is today without the support of her readers. Great lady!
