I would also like a class from Edgar Allan Poe because of the stories he wrote and I would love to see his process. I would also like one from J.K. Rowling because I would also like to see how her mind works.

To be honest I can't think of which author I would choose. It's like being asked what my three wishes are... Mind blank! But I would definitely choose an author that was completely mad! They have the best ideas and the craziest worlds to create. They would be the perfect teacher. A new point of view.

I have learned a lot from Stephen King's book On Writing as well but I would have to say I have dreamed of having a lesson with Laurell K Hamilton. I love to read and write in the fantasy romance category so it would be a wonderful asset. Even though her Anita novels have gotten to be a bit too much erotica than adventure ;) I still love the Meredith series though!

This is such a good question, and a tough one as well. I think a class from Dr. Seuss would just be a blast; but whoever it was, I'd want someone who was at least a prolific writer. I'd have to say either Charles Dickens or Kurt Vonnegut, Jr.

If I could take a writing class from an author it have to be 1 of 2. They are Katy Regnery and Cassandra Clare. Katy Regnery can always draw me into a book (only downside is that the genre she writes would not be the particular genre that I would enjoy or could see myself writing.) However Cassandra Clare has been spot on in my opinion with every book that I've read of hers.

Probably Patrick Rothfuss and John Green. Their flow, readability, descriptions and stories are so smooth and enjoyable.

Emily Bronte, Harry Thompson and Joseph Skibell. All for their poetic language use.

I think I would choose Adriana Trigiani, my all time favorite author. The way she weaves her words is just magical.

Stephen King or J.K. Rowling would be my choices, both because their writing is so detailed and comes to life so vividly in the reader's imagination. I think that's what creates the most powerful writing, and I would be very interested in learning more about their processes.
