That's a pretty good choice - I never read a Cormac McCarthy book I didn't like. :D

I have never read a Jude Deveraux novel, I have often seen her on the book shelves, however not long ago I purchased one of her novels "The Mulberry Tree" the title, cover and story line decided my purchase. It is nestling in with my many other TBRS'.

I do quite like Rose Tremain. The Road Home was an excellent novel.

Colleen McCulloch - I actually felt like I was on Drogheda as I read The Thorn Birds, and she tells her characters' stories so masterfully;

Robert K. Massie, who wrote a phenomenal biography of Peter the Great;

Taylor Caldwell (Great Lion of God);

Wilkie Collins (The Woman in White)

I agree totally with your choices KatieD .... Massie wrote a superb biography of Catherine the Great also, well worth a read if your interested in historical greats.

Tough decision. It's a tossup between the tennis player and the fish and chip dude. Hmmmmmmmm. OK! I've decided.
Arthur Ashe is my favorite arthur because I felt the other arthur(Treacher) used too much salt on his fish and chips.
