From Avam Hale:

I am not much of a movie buff and certainly not a trivia expert but I do tend to remember obscure lines from sub-blockbuster movies. One of my favorites was uttered by Walter Kornbluth (Eugene Levy) in the 1984 Ron Howard film, Splash. In it Kornbluth starts out as a would-be villain but tries to befriend co-stars Daryl Hannah and Tom Hanks. To that end, Kornbluth stammers, "I'm really a nice guy. If I had friends you could ask them."

I know the feeling. Networking has never been one of my strengths. So I was a little disheartened when I first began researching how best to market my new book and every post I could find started with the advice to reach out to your Twitter network.

Well, living in China for the past eight years I can't access Twitter and even if I could my network would be pretty small indeed.

So, at the risk of sounding pathetic, if any of you who have expressed an interest in The Message? and do actually wade through it I would appreciate it very much indeed if you would post a review on Amazon. You can't take a tax deduction but you will be 'passing it forward' to a very grateful author.

Thanks to all of you for not letting the word - printed or digital - go the way of the dinosaur.

I am planning to read this book for the upcoming Book of the Month discussion. I would be happy to post a review on Amazon once I finish the book.

Sounds different! Nothing I would buy from a bookstore or take out of the library, though. I like religious and fitness.

Sounds interesting. Thanks for mentioning Dr. Marcus. He immediately made me think of John Locke in the TV show Lost (probably totally erroneously ...).

I don't know this show so I can't comment on the comparison. :(

Oh man, I am really looking forward to this being the June book of the month! It sounds so good!

Thank you for this review. I really liked the way you explained the story in your simple summery as you say.

The book sounds cool, kind of like that movie Hereafter. I can just see the masses gathering already, or some secret religious order sent to "take care" of Leah. Great review, AlynnPowers!
