Weekly essay

Post Number:#1  Postby Artdude » 21 Nov 2011, 14:16

I would like to make a suggestion:

A weekly essay/academic article which can be followed, and discussed. I would absolutely love to do this - I'm an English student, so it would be great practice/help to me, but more importantly, I think it would attract the more serious of your members. I think the site is missing something more academic for those who want it (not all, I accept), but if it were there, I think it would definitely be followed.

Perhaps an author a week? or a book a week?

Would love to be a part of this. Do let me know if you think it is a viable option.

All the best.

Original essays submitted by the author or public essays?

Perhaps I could modify the classical short reads section to be short stories and original essays. Or I could create a special subforum in the writing section for submissions of essays. Though, if I do the latter we might as well create a subforum for submissions of original short stories and original poems. I don't know if it would make sense or not to combine all of these together in one submissions forum or make three or just stick to one for essays.

Did you want the essays to each be about what one learned from a book?
