"Not published, but counted as complete" question

Hello everyone!
I am new here and I have a question. I have done 2 reviews so far and in both cases I got the "Not published, but counted as complete" in my review history. I just wanted to make sure I'm not doing anything wrong because I had read that that answer is pretty rare, but I have now gotten it twice. Any info would be great. Thank you!

Some authors request not to publish their reviews. If you have any doubts about this, you should privately contact Scott about it. :tiphat:

That status is explicitly explained in the Review Team Guidelines.

If there is anything unclear about the Review Team Guidelines, please do let me know.

It's actually not that rare - more the luck of the draw. I have occasionally had reviews that were delivered to the author privately, which is what the "not published but counted as complete" means. I even once had two reviews in a row like that, and another time 2 out of the previous 3. Some authors just want private feedback and I think others request ahead of time for the review not to be published if the rating isn't the highest (4 stars).
