But I did get the BOTD announcement and I commented on the review. But I could not get the play for free. I did not find it on Spam either. So, that is what happened. Today I did not get the BOTD announcement email. So I don't know what is the Book of the Day for today. It's ok. I don't know how to remedy the situation. Sorry.
@josefina1110 You will need to contact AOL about the problem. Please let me know what AOL says.

AOL is known to be a problem email server in this regard. Instead of putting suspected junk mail in a junk folder, they often bounce the suspected junk mail with no notice to the recipient that the email was missed and no way for the recipient to recover the lost email. It's a very poor way of doing things.

I kind of miss my BOTD for 3 days now. If my aol email is the culprit, I have another email address: [email protected]. OBC wrote me in red that my subscription for Online Book Club is suspended because my email bounced. I hope I can play again with BOTD and avail of the good books for my Kindle Unlimited.

@josefina1110 If you are seeing a message about being unsubscribed, there should be a button right below the message to resubscribe. You can click that button and then re-verify your email address, then you will be re-subscribed and all set.

I would also suggest reaching out to AOL to ask them not to block emails to you like that in the future. If their filters are generating false positive that the email is spam/junk, then they should just put it in a junk/spam folder.

I also just received a notice on the main forums page that my book of the day subscription has been disabled. I have been receiving the BOTD emails the past few days, but they are sometimes coming a day late. I was able to enter the giveaway this morning because I have the link saved.

Saving the link is a great idea, bookowlie!

Well, it's worse than I thought. I sometimes receive the BOTD emails later in the day, and use the link I saved to enter the giveaways earlier for my own convenience. I just checked my link and it's coming up that my BOTD subcriptions has been disabled until I verify my email (which bounced). Sometimes when Scott does system updates, I won't get OBC email alerts for a few days, or will receive them a day or two later all in a bunch. I guess I will wait it out for now.

I have been getting BOTD emails later in the day too recently. I wonder if it is just a glitch or if it is a communist plot.

It seems to happen about twice a year, after system updates.

I'll have to keep an eye on that.

I do have an AOL email, so it doesn't mean you will also have an issue. I don't have a problem most of the time...it seems to happen about twice a year and either corrects itself or Scott does a little tinkering.

So it might just be AOL then? :eusa-think:

I guess it is at most a mere annoyance for a brief time anyways. It's not a huge deal in the overall scheme of things.

As you said, in the overall scheme of things, it's a blip. 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)
