Author Disputes?

Post by katiesquilts »

Hi everyone,

I was just wondering, if an author has a dispute about our private blurb, will we get a notification or something like that? I randomly clicked on the "private blurb" link on my history page for the last review I posted just a few days ago, and it said something like the author changed the code from 0 to code 3?? My history page says that I'm still waiting for author confirmation of the blurb, but if the author changed some sort of code doesn't that mean that they already saw it? Also, are there different codes, and what do they mean?

Sorry to ask so many questions! Just curious is all :)

I moved your post to the right forum. 8)

You should get a notification about a dispute and it will appear on your reviewer page. If there is no change in status after a week, you should report it on that link.

Also, when the review is published (or disapproved by the editors), the history would be automatically updated. The history will also update any time you refresh the score.

Ok, thank you!

I suppose I shouldn't worry about the codes?

Code 3 means the author approved the blurb. Your history page says pending because the history page is saved information. Better refresh your score to update the info.

Thanks for the advice! After checking my score the status was updated!

I never used to pay much attention to my score, but now I guess I'll have to start checking it regularly. :)

Thank you for this Q and A! I've been searching and trying to figure out what the code meant. Good or bad? Relieved to know it wasn't something I've done wrong! My first review was accepted with no problems, even though not published, so I was a bit concerned with my second one with the whole code and whatnot. Thanks again!!☺
