I didn't realize these was a Friends list. That would more convenient than the slower way I send PM's now. I am so techno-challenged! That's the reason I don't have a cool profile picture like the rest of you.ALynnPowers wrote:Duende Knocking wrote:gali wrote:lol surely not.
I don't use either list (friends or foes).
I tried the Friends list because I thought it would open the chance for Visitor Messages like some forums have, but that's not the case. I'm not sure what the Friends list does.
Anyway....
From what I have experienced, the Friends list just makes a list on your control panel, so it's quicker to send PMs to people. That's all I have used it for, anyway.
Maybe there is more I haven't discovered yet.
Possibility for minimum post requirements to send PMs?

The foes list should hide messages from those people on the forums.

Usually it's just the Ignore/Blocked list.

"Hey, Foe."
"What's up, Foe?"
"Fooooooe. Fooooooe."
At this point, I have the following message printed on my designer checks: "Is there a foe in the midst?"

Yeah, we've been doing it for years, but then my mom got tired of being called "Foe" (go figure), so now I call her "Mo."

When you say emails, do you mean PMs?ALynnPowers wrote:Okay, so does this new PM protection thing going on now cause some "spam" emails to be automatically deleted upon being received? Just curious.
The new change should prevent members with less than a certain post count (10 posts at this time) from sending PM messages at all. The messages never get sent, so there is no deleting happening as a result of the new policy.

Gah! Yes! I meant PM! For some reason, in my head, I think PM and emails are the same thing because they both go the in inbox.Scott wrote:When you say emails, do you mean PMs?ALynnPowers wrote:Okay, so does this new PM protection thing going on now cause some "spam" emails to be automatically deleted upon being received? This is secretly what I was wondering about but I didn't want to say it was you!PashaRu wrote:So I had a weird thing the other day. I went to my pm page, and there was a note that said something like "A private message has been removed due to content." What does that mean??? When I went back to the page, the note was gone.

That's strange. Are you sure the exact message was "A private message has been removed due to content"?PashaRu wrote:So I had a weird thing the other day.
