Re: Possibility for minimum post requirements to send PMs?
I have disabled new members (those with a post count of less than 10) from sending PMs.
This is probably better anyway because as it was before these new members would have lots of trouble using the PM system because the filter would try to detect probable spam and block it automatically.

I think this will be better for a lot of people in the long run. Most spam is harmless but it's still annoying, and apparently this is an issue a lot of us have.

If you'd like, you can set this yourself. I think? I've set it so that PMs from my "foes" get deleted automatically.amandanicole books wrote:Maybe there should be a friend requirement for pm?

Actually, no, I don't. But if I did and they sent me a message, it would be deleted immediately.gali wrote:You have "foes"??ALynnPowers wrote:If you'd like, you can set this yourself. I think? I'm pretty sure I am on the foe lists of a few users though. Hahaha

I don't use either list (friends or foes).

Thanks once again for keeping the site in tip-top shape. I must admit, I have never been spammed here, and was quite surprised to hear it was happening. However, since it is happening, this is a good idea.Scott wrote:I don't like this. I don't like this one bit.

I tried the Friends list because I thought it would open the chance for Visitor Messages like some forums have, but that's not the case. I'm not sure what the Friends list does.

Anyway....
From what I have experienced, the Friends list just makes a list on your control panel, so it's quicker to send PMs to people. That's all I have used it for, anyway.
Maybe there is more I haven't discovered yet.
