No Longer Receiving Emails

So that we can provide faster and better support, this forum (the "Public Suggestion Box") has been retired. Instead, please send any suggestions you have to us using the official website contact form.

This allows us to streamline our support system so that we can get to your message much faster. Instead of our support staff having to check three different places (support forum, suggestion box, and contact form messages), they know can respond to all message through one method, with that one method being the official website contact form.

No Longer Receiving Emails

Post by Redlegs »

I have not been receiving emails advising updates to the various topics I am watching for several weeks - seems to coincide roughly with the server upgrade you did recently. I am missing these email reminders to log on and keep track of various discussions.

Are you aware if others have experienced the same problem?

Regards,

I know that I haven't had any problems. Have you tried resetting your preferences in the control panel?

I don't have any problems either. Check out indeed your preferences in the control panel as was suggested.

I agree with checking your preferences since it seems to be a singular problem. I never stopped receiving email updates...

Have you checked your spam and junk folders? What email client are you using? Feel free to contact me privately.

The new server also has a new IP address. While that doesn't really affect the user experience, since your computer handles the DNS behind the scenes, it could be detected by your email provider/client's filter making the email seem unrecognized. Other headers in the email might be different too simply because it is coming from a new server.

Hi Scott (and others),

The problem has apparently 'magically' fixed itself. In the last 24 hours, I have received this and several other email notifications form various forums.

Prior to that, I had not received any notifications since 11 November, despite accessing various forum topics up to 3 times a week.

So, for now, all good. Thanks again.
