More than one "official review"?

Post by anomalocaris »

I noticed that someone else has recently posted an "official review" of the book I'm currently in the middle of writing an official review for. Is this normal? My understanding was that once you've taken on a project, it's "taken" and not still available for other reviewers. If it's available to multiple reviewers, it seems like it could get pretty messy on the paid reviews.

Usually there is just one free copy of a book, but in some cases the book is getting offered again at a later date. For paid reviews, there is just one copy.

Anyone can post a review on a book they have read. However, the only official reviews are for books one gets from this site. Some new posters aren't aware to that, so they just add that title to their reviews.

Thanks Gali! I didn't want to be stepping on anyone's toes, if it was a glitch

The system is designed to only have one person review a book. However, sometimes an author will request the same book get reviewed again. They can do this simply by submitting a new request almost like if it was a different book. Also, the first review may have been rejected which would then call for a second review.
