Review question

Post by AMP76 »

I posted an error message on the review team forum, but maybe my issue isn't actually an error. So, I downloaded a book for review, checked the file, its 40 pages, which seemed short but I scrolled through the entire book and it is complete. So, I started reading. At the end of each chapter, the author stops in the middle of the paragraph and has an explanation something to the effect of "if you want to see what happens, click here to get the rest of the story" and there is a link.

I am wondering do I need to click there and actually download more book? Or do I review the book as it is?

I feel like I am reading a choose your own adventure novel from my childhood.

Any thoughts?

Odd. Have you tried to click on the link in order to check it out?

I admit that I am generally wary of clicking on something completely unknown. However, I did attempt to click them and nothing happened. So I am perplexed. It does not appear that the downloaded file is corrupt in any way. It seems as of this is the actual format the book is in. I guess I will write a review based upon the downloaded book file. I have to admit, its an interesting topic, even if it is an odd format.

If this happens, do not click the link. Report an error to me and I will investigate. The book should be the full book. Otherwise, there was an error or mistake or misuse of the review request system by the author/publisher.

Scott, if you want to investigate, that would be helpful. I can write a review based on the 40 pages or whatever you decide. Thanks!

I have contacted the author. Please give me a day or so to wait for a response.
