Can't access books

Post by FlorenceDupuis »

I currently have 72 posts, and I have been here for less than a week, but with the 72 posts, it makes up more hours than there is in a week. So I should be able to see reviews. My preferences lets me have 5 out of 8 ebooks and I also take regular books. So how come ain't I seeing any books to review? I really want to participate in this.

Wow, so I am not the only one having this problem. Maybe there are just too many of us in line. Perhaps this review thing has become so popular that the "demand" for reviews is no longer nearly as high as it was when the blurb about becoming a reviewer was written.

Yeah this has been going on for a while viewtopic.php?f=3&t=15908&p=229013&hilit=escape+level+0#p229013
and it's happening to people who have posted way more than myself so I'm not holding my breath. I'm still glad I found this forum cuz I've had some interesting discussions here, but I am disappointed with the difficulty of becoming a reviewer.

This should be fixed now. If you have 50 posts, you should have reviews available or an error report will be sent to me, assuming you have sufficient ebook formats selected.

Great work Scott! Very good news to start my week with and I've started reading my first review book. Thank you very very much! :)

Well, now I'm back to the "Yikes no reviews" message except I'm at level 4 rather than zero. :( sucks. I read an article the other day that explains why a service like the onlinebookclub.org review team is in demand http://www.forbes.com/sites/davidvinjam ... ood-thing/ but I guess supply still exceeds demand at the moment :(

i have no idea what e.book formats are and what I should select. I have a Kindle and assumed the books would be downloaded on to that. What else do I have to do. I have over 100 posts. I am finding the site pretty difficult to negotiate. We are not all technically minded.

You can use the Calibre library to change the format of the ebooks. Then you can move the ebooks to your Kindle. If you chose just one format, there will be less selection of books.

From my experience, even if you see books to review you can't actually download them, but when you report that you get ignored, and the author isn't informed until a month later.
This site is VERY poorly run.

That is wrong. I have downloaded many free books for review without any problem. Only once I had a problem to download a book and Scott took care of it real quick. If you have complains, please pm Scott about it.
