Other Payment Options to Paypal

Post by novelwriter »

I am wondering if there are any other options to Paypal for getting paid once I start? If I get paid can it be sent to my bank account? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

I'm wondering about the same thing? What's the alternative to PayPal. l find the Company overly regulated and paranoid when it comes to security. I know its their job, but my experience with them hasn't been the best. Also, how do you retrieve your messages on this site. i can't seem to find the right place to click onto. Any help appreciated.

There are no other options than PayPal at this time.

There are many other changes and improvements that need to be made to streamline the review team system even more before I can add more payment options. I hope to be at a point where a more sophisticated payout system would be warranted in 3-6 months.

Just go to PayPal's site and click sign up. It's very easy. Go there first. :D :tiphat:

And by the way, once you sign up for paypal, you can add your bank account. Then you can get your money sent from paypal to your bank account. It's really not hard.

I thought I'd open my Paypal account after having reviewed my first book. Is that alright?

Secondly, in reviewing a book, do you prefer spelling the English way or American?

Third. after having read through the Guidelines, I did not see the Select button in order to select a book to review. Can you indicate where I have gone wrong please?

You want be able to see books to select until you reach a certain point level. That info can be found in the guidelines, I believe.

@"owusu kwadwo" Unfortunately, PayPal is the only method to be paid at this time. However, you are welcome to accept the free book only review opportunities. You would have to take it up with PayPal for why they won't serve your country.

1. Yes, that's okay.

2. No preference, but I recommend keeping it consistent within the review.

3. When you go to the Review Team Page, do you see the "Review Team Subnavigation" menu?

Same here. I already read all comments and suggestions stated above. I really appreciate your effort (Scott) to answer each of those questions. I hope that more progress will be introduced to us. I already anticipated the success of this site. Good idea and very interesting. #Brilliant creator

Many international banks accept direct money transfers for a smaller commission
than that's charged by Paypal these days. Paypal has increased their commission
for some countries in the recent past, and it's definitely hurting.

I would like to request @Scott to consider other payment options like direct money
transfer. Thank you.

To va2056,
Yes sir, that`s idea is more convenient and easy. Direct money transfer would only require valid I.D. and code sent by the bank. This will take transaction more smoothly. Thank you.

For direct bank transfers, there is a problem on both ends:

For payments being sent to me, I'm not comfortable giving out my account numbers publicly.

For payments being sent to others, I would not have the time to manually transfer funds to individual people using my personal ID.

In addition to those problems, it would be much harder if not impossible to setup the automatic processing of payments being sent or reviewed.

I think what we would need is a similar service to PayPal.
