Logged Out when confirming successful download of ebook

Post by scrapcode13 »

Hello webmaster,

When I tried to confirm a successful download of an ebook the system redirected me to the "not logged in" page. Not sure if this happened only to me and how it will affect the database of the records of who downloaded a working copy of an ebook.

You can see whether the database was updated or not by going back to the Review Team Page. It will let you know the status, when it was last updated and give you the current options available for updating the status. This logged-out error won't cause an internal inconsistency in the database, but may have caused it to not have been updated at all.

I will investigate this issue of being logged out. To help with that, when you clicked to update the status had you just logged in? Had you just pulled up the page or is it possible your session had simply timed out? Have you ever had a problem with being unexpectedly logged out on this website before?

Yeah, it was not updated at all and when I visited the page again it worked fine.

When you clicked to update the status had you just logged in? - No. About 5 to 8 minutes.

Had you just pulled up the page or is it possible your session had simply timed out? - Around 5 minutes after I pulled the page.

Have you ever had a problem with being unexpectedly logged out on this website before? - Nope. That was the only time.

I also remembered something that might help you recreate the scenario. When I was picking which book to review I opened them in "new tabs". Meaning that the selection page is still open when I downloaded the book I picked. It might have triggered security parameters but a simple error page should also do the job without confusion.

Hope this helps and thanks for the quick action.
