I have the Kindle 3G which cost $139, there is a Kindle 3G with wifi $189 the difference is you can surf the internet on the one for $189 and the one for $139 has advertisements as a screen saver (grrr). I think there is a Kindle DX that cost somewhere between $3-$4 hundred I'm not sure about that one though. Hope I helped!

Yes that did help. Thank you. The 139 dollar one is within my budget. Where do you get them at? Would Walmart have them?

I have trouble reading books electronically, but I guess I'll have to catch up with the ways of the world in that aspect fairly soon, oh well I still love owning physical copies of books

Ive found I can put text e books on my camera, it works ok but if Im partway through a book theres no way to mark the place. When I start to read it where I left off I have to scroll to find my place, its a pain in the butt.

Why do most people buy a Kindle? There is BeBook Neo, Nook, Sony Reader, Alex eReader, iPad and Kobo to name a few. None of which I own but my friends swear by Kobo so what is it about a Kindle? The best features or the best marketing campaign?
