Kindle Prime

Post by b_marie »

I tried there free trial month. I'm not sure if I'm going to continue it. But i do think the free shipping is worth it if you order a lot of hardcover or paperback books.

Are you talking about Amazon Prime? I tried it for a month and it just wasn't worth it. I never need anything shipped that quickly and the discounts on Kindle books never coincides with what I actually want to read.

fyi, We order all kinds of other stuff, including some automatic shipments of recurring products we need, from amazon. If you order a variety of things on a regular basis, it is worth it. We simply added how much we spent on shipping for 6 month period and compared it to the cost of prime. We definitely come out ahead with prime. It depends on how you use amazon.

We use it-we ditched cable and got this little thing called the Roku that's compatible with the Amazon Instant Video. It's nice-lots of free shows and no commercials.

I have a Kindle Fire also. I gave it to my teenager as the only thing I want to do is read. I don't play games or watch videos or look at magazine. I thought I would use it, but went back to my basic Kindle, which I love. :D :D :D

I can't think of my Kindle being able to do all those extra things either.

I had the free trial too, but I never renewed it. I didn't have any reason to continue with it.

If one gets a free trial, it doesn't renew automatically?

I just got done with my free trial and yes it does renew unless you cancel it. I love the streaming movies but I don't think I order enough from amazon to make it worth the deal.

I love my kindle prime account. Definitely get a ton of savings around Christmas time!! Also the kids download a ton of movies. Definitely worth the few per year.
