E/Readers

Post by jetski »

Back in 1996, I started writing a book which I used a CD to place it on. My family thought it was a very wierd idea at the time. But I saw it as the wave of the future. I explained to them that it would be much easier to catalogue a bunch of CDs rather than thick books.
Eventually, I rewrote the book entirely. But I did not know about "Kindke Direct Publishing" at the time, nor did I know about "Smashwords." Both these sites allow you to upload your books and sell them there at basically 70% profit margin. Thanks to getting involved with writing sites, I soon learned about these two sites.
With a little help, okay, it was quite a bit of help, I was on my way to seeing my book up for sale. I am very grateful for E/book readers and the above sites which are basically free with the exception of charging for ISBN numbers on credit of your first sales.
