Re: Reading on your smart phone

I never go anywhere without my Kindle. I tried reading on my iPhone but I found the print too small (boy are my eyes getting older) and no matter how far down I turned it, I found the backlight too bright. I have a book light for my kindle touch and I use that at its lowest setting. If the iPhone were all I had I am sure I would find a way to make it work. Where there is a will there is a way.

When I had an iPhone I tried reading on it and I hated it. I now have an android and have no desire to read on it. I prefer my Kindle.

Being able to have the app right on my phone is super convenient! Anytime I forget my actual Kindle, I still always have a back-up! :)

I've tried and it doesn't work for me. To small of a screen.

Smartphones are more portable and lighter than other devices but sometimes the quality can be a little mediocre

The backlight hurts my eyes after a while, and the screen is too small, font too little. However, having the app did save me one time. I had to make an unexpected trip to an Urgent Care facility, and didn't have my ereader with me. I was there a couple of hours, and thankful I had the app on my phone!

Since then I've made a point to get into the habit of using a little bigger purse so I can throw the ereader into it whenever I leave the house so I always have it with me!

I just did a little while ago! It really is cool to be able to take books like my Bible along in my pocket nowadays. We can carry books so much easier now than when I had to back in school. What a blessing!

I honestly couldn't read on a smartphone. For me the letters are too little but then if you make them bigger then there is like one sentence on the whole page. You know what I mean?
Also my eyes hurt a lot after reading or looking at a screen for a long time, so this is not a great option for me.
I actually have a nook that I don't use that much for reading.

I find it to be tedious, particularly from eye glare. I do sometimes use my Kindle app on my phone but only in desperate times.

Reading on my Samsung note (5.3 inch screen) is not too bad, but I prefer my iPad -- it's better for my eyes too.

I don't have the patience to read on my phone. It's just too small and it drives me crazy. It's also hard to navigate and I often press the wrong area on the screen. I always carry my iPad mini in my purse and that's what I read on the most. It's so handy to have. It's the perfect size. It's not too big but bigger then your phone.

I tried doing this yesterday and it made me so motion sick on the train. That never happens. :?
