What would be the point if it only had one page ? Maybe I just don't get the concept.

I can't see the point. I am quite happy with things as they are.

To the person with the iPad who wouldn't get an eReader: I have both an iPad and a Kindle and I read on both but prefer the Kindle. There are advantages to the Kindle that make me prefer it. First the size and lightness of it. Second I have the 3G version (which came with it free) so I can browse Amazon or the internet free. Don't have to worry about WiFi being available. I realize there are also advantages to snow iPad thus I have both and it is worth it. But if I have a choice I prefer to read on my Kindle.

This is an interesting idea, but I like how ereaders function now. I a simple swipe or tap and your on to the next page.

I agree; people want either a book or an e reader, to combine them kinda defeats the purpose. I would love to see how that would work though :-)

With today's high-end technology I think it's possible to create, with bendable page(s) and it would not be fragile, and it might even be an idea that some are attracted to. As for me, I prefer to push one button and have the page turn for me, so I don't think I'd buy one. So far, I can read books on my computer and on my iPhone. I would consider an iPad for reading but the iPad would do a lot of other things too making it economical for me. The e-reader would have only one function - not too practical for me whether there are physical pages that turn or not.

I think I would like that. I love to test out new things and that certainly sounds cutting edge. It would be even cooler if (someone said this in the posts above) the cover changed to reflect the book(s) you're currently reading.

That would be interesting but it does not matter how it looks

Eh... doesn't seem very practical to me. I don't really see the point. Eep. Sorry.

It sounds like a really cool thing to look at. I wouldn't buy it though seems like something which could get broken really fast too. What I would like to see is the kindle or nook e-ink to be done in color for the illustrations first. Alas this is another thing which hasn't been perfected enough to make it on to one of the recent ebook generations.

I think that it's hard to imagine what the future holds. Sometimes, the scope of our imaginations does not allow us to see past what we already know technology is capable of. There was a time when phones didn't exist, movies didn't have sound, and cars seemed like a pipe dream. All of these things have sense become reality. I think marketing is all about finding what people want and what technology is capable of. And sometimes, we get things we didn't even know that we wanted.

I want a book I can just plug my head into and I know the story automatically.
Oh wait... no, I don't!

Thats a really good idea, only if it were possible. Maybe in the distant future.

I'm not sure how this idea would work, but it sounds cool. I like my Kindle just the way it is, but who knows where technology will take us? If e-readers with pages were to hit the market and become really popular, then I guess I would buy one when my current device was no longer functional.
