I get through paper books more quickly because I am more likely to read them at any time versus an e-book which I can only read if I am sitting in front of my computer.

Although I have preferred paperbacks in the past, I now find with so many free books online, I'm reading much more. I'm not sure if it's faster or not. Not having to go out to get books is a real time saver...used for reading more!

I don't really know. It only takes me a couple of hours to read either of them.

an ebook. I notice I read faster because there is only a fewer words on there and I notice I am constantly changing the ebook pages fast.

Paperback is faster but that is probably because I usually read in paperback instead of e-books.

I feel like I definitely read ebook a quicker... I think it's something with the quick swish of the "online page" that speeds up the process and at the same time I think that ebooks tend to make people skip over words, bulks, etc making them skim the passage rather than really let the words sink in. This also contributes to the fact that an emotional book will not feel that heartbreaking when read over a smartphone or nook or kindle etc.

I prefer a paperback, it is so much better because you get an actual feel for the book. Literally lol

I think paperback is better for me. I'm not really use to using e-books but they're just not for me. I'm a bit old school. :D

I would say that my pace is a bit slower on an e-reader. Sometimes while I use my e-reader I accidentally turn the page too many times causing a hindrance in my pace of reading.

The traditional paperbacks seem easier and enjoyable because of the paper smell(book smell!) It is also friendlier to the eyes and since I started reading only paper books unlike the newer generation( which is a 'go-electronic' generation), this works for me better.

I read faster on an e-reader. Hours of reading paperbacks give me headaches!

I seem to read a little bit faster on an e-reader and I'm not certain why. I think its because I can physically see what my reading speed is and how long it will take to reach the next chapter. This makes it so much easier before I go to bed to just say "Oh, it's only 8 minutes to the next chapter.... might as well finish it up before I hit the hay".
Now it's all change, it's got to change more
Cause we think it's getting better
But nobody's really sure

I read both in a similar time frame. It just gets down to which is easier for me to have with me in certain circumstances that makes the reading quicker.

It takes the same amount of time for me. I am a fast reader, however I have noticed that when I am reading a paper back I tend to take my time more because I love the feel of a book in my hands. The physical act of turning the pages and slightly cracking the binding soothes me. Its nerdy I know, but I have no shame in it!
