Lets me lose myself and get to know new characters that I feel like I know personally. Great creative outlet.

Nothing better than curling up in front of the fireplace with a blanket and a good book

I love reading, too! I've been affiliated with the military my entire life, and reading is the one activity that I can do wherever I live. Right now I am living in an isolated area, and I swear that reading is the only thing keeping me sane! :D

Books are so awesome. If I want to travel to Greece and can't, I can just read a book about Greece and Viola! I am there..

i can read for hours and feel like no time has passed at all. I've always been a reader, i even idolised Belle from beauty int he beast as a kid because she was the only disney princess who loved books (and was a brunette!). I miss my train stop on the way to work all the time because i get lost in them. I heart books :D

I love reading. When I used to read to kids in grammar school I would say, "All the secrets in the world are in books and when you learn to read, you can learn all the secrets. Even the secrets your mother doesn't want you to know."

I taught my children that, "There is often more truth in a work of fiction than in non-fiction."

But, I also confess I'm a compulsive reader. I was caught with idle time and no book and started reading a newspaper written in Spanish. A waitress spoke to me in Spanish and I told her I didn't speak Spanish. "But, you read Spanish?" "No, I just have to read something."

I love reading and have loved it all of my life. I remember as a child escaping to lands I will never see in person and conjuring up my own images to go with the author's words. My make believe land lies between my imagination and the author's captivating words. I don't get that feeling from any other media to date and that is why I love reading and will continue to read.
