Action, definitely! I love for my breath to be taken away, and my eyes to dart over the words as if I were running with the characters in the story. Romance makes me sick; way too cheesy, unreal, and simply annoying. I read to see something different, please. I hate the romance genre.

I definitely prefer action, though I do sometimes enjoy romance in stories when it is not the central focus of the story and when it is not written in a very amatonormative way.

Romance gets a little repetitive when there is no action added to the mix, or at least that how I view it. While action does fine on its own, it is even better with some romance. I would prefer to read about romance, but romance with some action really takes the cake.

I am die hard in love with Romance books ESPECIALLY if there is a paranormal twist in it or something along those lines :D
Don't get me wrong there have been books I had to quite because the heroin or the hero was just getting on my nerve (they weren't getting together!!!! :( )
But yeah Romance all the way <3

Romance: love emphasizing emotion over libido.

I'll always fall for a good romance, but I usually find myself getting bored if the novel is purely romance driven. I most enjoy an action driven plot with romantic themes along the way.

Both is definitely ideal, for me. But if it's an either/or question, I think I am drawn more to romance.

I completely agree. I do enjoy a book full of action with a touch of romance.

Action more than romance. Action with a side plot of romance is good; I'm just less interested when the main plot revolves around love. That's why the only romance book I remember fondly is Georgette Heyer's The Convenient Marriage - for all that it's classified as a Georgian romance, the story focused less on the interactions between the two characters in love and more on the crazily funny antics they and their relatives got up to. That's the kind of romances I like! ^^

I prefer action. But if it is a good romance then I'd love that too.
