Both! If you give me a book with action in it and there is a strong connection that turns into romance, I will be a happy reader. My favorites are when the male and female leads dont get along in the beginning and you see them slowly fall in love as the story goes. Those will win me over every time :)

Action over romance anytime. As a matter of fact I find myself skimming over the romance parts in books. I prefer mysteries and thrillers but I will read anything with a good story line. I try to read many genres and authors.

I think if I say this many people with just stare at me in shock, be offended, or just think I am naive. But let me just say it right out, I happen to hate romance, like if the book only has a bit of romance I can deal with it. However if it is like a full out romance I am like, "not touching that with a meter long pole." :snooty:

On the other hand I love, love, love action and adventure books! They are so exciting compared to normal everyday life. It just makes you want to fall asleep, it is amazing I don't sleep all day everyday. Considering nothing ever happens in my town and I hate being bored!

PS. Sorry if I offended anyone with my comment above.

Action with a romantic twist. The books that are based solely on sex are a turn off for me. I like to be pulled into a book and action with romance that doesn't over shadow that is what gets me.

Action with a bent towards a crime based scenario keeps me on edge, though I'm not impartial to a well written romance. Actually I don't even mind a badly written romance sometimes ;)

i must say i go threw phases, romance just becomes a book that you can tell what is exactly going to happen.. very annoying

I am going to say yes to both especially when they are combined into 1 great book.

Both, but I have to go with Action over plain romance. However, dark romance is an awesome combination of on the edge material depending on the author.

I prefer romance, I just melt with all the words that describe love, good emotions, happiness,..I like metaphors and descriptions of the main heroes in novels,.. Because I create a vivid vision of them in my mind.

I like action, but sometimes is so cruel,..Even if it's based on true life. That's why I prefer romance,..as the escape from reality,..

ROMANCE all day...every day. Something about a good love story with the perfect amount of plot twists and tragedy gets me every time.

Action and romance both put me on edge especially if the romance books has some good angst in it. Got to love the love hate relationships.
