None. I don't own one as of recent. Any recommendations?

My Nook Touch died earlier this year, after just a year of light use. I got a Kindle this time. I like being able to download library books directly to the Kindle, without having to go thru/hook up to my laptop first. It also syncs with the Kindle app on my phone, so if I don't have the e-reader with me, I can read on my phone, and when I get back to the e-reader it will sync up where I left off on the phone app.

Question to both gali and catzkc: Once your readers die, is there a way you can transfer your ebooks to the new ereader, or are they totally lost?

If you buy books from Amazon, they keep your books in store and you can access them any time and download them. Books from other sources you should save on your PC or on a hard disk and then move them to the new reader as needed.

I believe it's the same way with Nook. I think if I would have gotten another Nook, my Nook books would have transferred over. However, I really wanted to get an e-reader that made downloading/borrowing books from the library an easier process. The process of doing that with the Nook was way to confusing for me! I seemed to always mess it up!

As it is - I can still read my Nook books on the Nook smartphone app, so they're not completely lost for me.

Three Kindles. THREE. But yeah not sure if its me or the kindle itself, but if I ever get another ereader I'll probably try out the nook.

I have been exclusively E-reading for 8 years now and I am never going back! I have gone through 3 kindles. My first I broke by dropping from a height of 6 feet onto a cement floor. It took Amazon 24hours to replace it for free on the warranty. My second lasted me until the Kindle Touch came out and I just had to upgrade. That kindle is still working wonderfully for my father and my Touch is my favorite most important possession! I take it everywhere.

Ok, question to all the Kindle owners of 3 or more: Are the Kindles not all that they're cracked up to be, or did you go through them because of massive usage?

Both.

The kindle is fine as long as you don't read overmuch on it. Saying that, I couldn't be without it.

Amazon considers a normal reading between 20 - 60 min a day. I read several hr per day on my kindle.
