I was anti-tablet for a long time and only read on my Nook but now I am all tablet and my poor Nook is collecting dust. I can do so much more on my tablet and can get multiple reading apps so it just made sense to combine everything into one device.

I've been using my ipad for a while now and I love it! I think its very useful for me. It lets me carry all my ebooks and at the same time I can write my book when I'm out of the house without having to carry my laptop also. (I use google drive to write so it updates it directly on the laptop) :)

I have a tablet and an ereader. I prefer the kindle as it is not backlit and doesn't strain my eyes. I can also use it outside on sunny days.

As long as I can have my Nook and Kindle apps on the device they are the same for me. A book is a book and is the same on any device that has the appropriate app. On a tablet you can do more such as surf the web, go on Facebook or other social apps and respond to emails. An ebook reader is just that. A device for reading eBooks.

I don't really care for the E-Reader. I prefer a tablet.

It really depends on what you are going to do on your device.

I used to have a tablet but then it died. and I was so sad because I used to mostly read on there.

Now I'm back at the public library. At least my librarian is happy!

I love my tablet because I can use it for multiple functions. I liked my Kindle before tablets became so popular. It is nice to keep track of only one device.

Tablets make more sense for me as they are multi-purpose. A recent Pew research study (maybe it was Nielsen) reported that reading on phones among those who also read on tablets has risen to nearly 30% from around 8% four years ago. Worldreader developed a reading app for the simple phones most Africans have and has seen dramatic improvements in literacy as a result. Fascinating times!

I finally broke down and asked for an eReader for Christmas. I have read on it exlusively for nearly 3 months. However, you take it away, I would not be heartbroken. You take away my library of "real" books, I will break down into a ball of slobbering idiocracy in less than 60 seconds.
