One for her, One for me

Post by hatefacecore »

My wife has the Kindle which she guards with her life. I rarely have time to read the books she has on it. I was thinking of getting an ereader of my own. It doesn't make sense to have two kindles so I wanted to get something new. Any suggestions? Is it just a matter of preference? Maybe the IPad would be the best of all.

My husband and I both have the Kindle Touch. He wanted one after seeing mine and I wasn't planning on giving mine up long enough for him to use it :-). If you like the Kindle, get one. My son has the Kindle Fire and loves it. I think it would be fine to have two Kindles...IF that's what you like.

Why not have two kindles? Sounds fantastic! Although, I suppose it would be interesting to have both a Kindle and a Nook in the household, in case one store has a sale and the other one doesn't. That is, if you two would be willing to switch back and forth. I for one am very possessive of my Literati.

Nexus 7" tablet is out now that you can use for reading. I think they are $ 199 if you can find one.

I know couples that have two Kindles. I can understand why. I love my Kindle but I also have an iPad. They each have their advantages. Wouldn't be without either

I think having two kindles makes more sense if you are planning on just using yours for reading. If you would also like better/more internet capabilities, email apps, apps in general, or something on those lines, go for a tablet.

One bonus to you having the same type of device would be that you could link them to the same account to share books more easily. If you had Nook, Kobo neither of those can share books with your wife's Kindle.

My family of four has four kindles even though we prefer collecting books. It's great because you only need to buy the book once and you'll have it on all 4 kindles.

If you buy an iPad then she might feel a little sad with her having a reader and you having an iPad, so just but a nook or any other ereader
