So, I thought you all would enjoy this. I posted on the King thread as well. Today while at Barnes and Noble to get my Jo Nesbo book, I picked up 11/23/63. The cashier says, 'He was just in here again, a couple weeks ago.'

After much searching... I actually think I like Skippy Dies.

Although King's novel does seem interesting, I think Skippy Dies would have more to discuss, like "The Curious Case of the Dog in the Night Time"

^ I think we can safely say 11.22.63 has won the April Book of the Month, what did people think of this book?

I was wary reading it as King's last epic novel Under The Dome fell spectacularly in the final third so I was expecting great things from the King of horror, and in my opinion he delivered and then some! Bearing in mind you have to be very open minded about a plot which sees a man from 2011 travelling back to 1958 in order to gather evidence on Lee Harvey Oswald and finally put to bed the mystery behind the assasination of JFK, from page 1 King immerses the reader in a gripping world of mystery, intrigue and double crossing as Jake adjusts to life in late 50s America and settles down as a teacher, all the while falling in love with his co-worker Sandy and getting mixed messages about what is happening to the Oswald family and the surrounding political motivations.

King really turns in a rollercoaster of a novel, full of twists and turns as you live life in late 50s, early 60s America through the eyes of Jake Epping, whilst King throws in a few sinister messages about the truth behind the consequences behind Jakes decision to wipe out Oswald and the resulting "butterfly effect" on his life back in 2011. Truly, the last third, as Sandy and Jake catch up to Oswald and try to stop his mission rates as the most gripping and exciting piece of fiction I have read in years and King even ends his book on a heartbreaking and unforgettable note that stays with the reader long after you close the book. The Epic Novel (TM) is back and King is on fire again. Easily my best book of 2011. :D
