I read the 'Forward' to the book, and the initial chapter in the Amazon preview. I was really absorbed in the story as he detailed his family history, with photographs thrown in.
Raymond was a jack of all trades, and I will say a master of all! I am amazed at the number of things he tried his hands at. And to quote from the review: "He is like a sponge that absorbs everything he can, and turns whatever knowledge he learns into something useful not only for himself but also for others." I'll like to find out the outcome of his prostrate cancer, but I believe he is a survivor! A very good review.

Not my usual genre so I doubt I will read this one but it does sound touching and inspring. Also, great job on the review! I agree, if there's photos it would be better if they were in the corresponding chapter.

Biographies are generally not my genre unless they happen to be about someone who I find particularly interesting. Glad that you enjoyed it-thanks for the review.

Great review! The author certainly has led a varied, interesting life. You made a good point about wanting the photos to be scattered throughout the book instead of all being placed at the end. Glad you enjoyed the book!

This book sounds like it could serve as a reminder to all of us to not take life for granted, cherish every minute, and enjoy the world and its people to the fullest! Although life has its ups and downs, it's what we do with those experiences, or moments of joy and sorrow, that matters the most, whether it be to learn something new about ourselves, pass along one of life's lessons to another, or accept that what is happening is all part of what makes us who we are today. What a great choice for #BOTD!

Thank you so much for your review! :-)

Thanks for the great review. It is just fitting for one who knows his end is near to recapitulate all of his experiences in this life. He really had a wonderful life. Congratulations to the author for BOTD.

This sounds awesome because the story relates a life of a great man who fought a lot to achieve his purposes in life. The book also brings hope to everyone that every good thing can be achieved no matter how the challenges and obstacles. The cover is OK for me. I appreciate it. Thanks for the wonderful review.

I noticed the author integrated the pictures into the actual book. I would completely agree that that is much better :)

A Peripatetic Life is such an uplifting book , and your review really did it justice. You captured the spirit of the author perfectly, by detailing his many life experiences and his refreshing outlook on his life. Kudos and thank you, if I'd not already decided to read this book, your outstanding review would certainly put A Peripatetic Life on the top of my "must read" list!??????
