I'm an animal lover whose sweet dog passed away a couple of years ago at the ripe, old age of 17. I still miss him, so can definitely relate to this book. Although I've never owned a cat, the pain of losing a pet is still the same. Great review! I'll have to check this one out, even though I know the tears will be flowing.

Aww what a heartwarming story about the love of pets. And I love cats so that makes it ten times better. Thank you for your review--it brought a smile to my face!

This is a sweet book. Love our cats and can empathize with this author totally. The reviewer did a great review. Adding this to my TBR list. Congrats to the author on BOTD for this touching story. I also loved the pics of Oreo!

So cute, really heartwarming. There are many animals that deserve their story told. Glad to see one so good.

Pets are so special to everyone and when a book is dedicated to a pet, it's very touching. I'm glad the book doesn't need edits and is just the right length, she did Oreo proud!

Sounds like a pure and sweet book. I have a couple of rescued kitties as well that are getting up there in years and this is a sweet way to celebrate a beloved pet's life.

I'm a dog guy, but I can totally relate to the author's feeling for her kitten. I also think Oreo was a perfect name considering the appearance of the animal. The book is actually a loving tribute to a great friend.

Great review! I wasn't sure what to expect looking at the cover (children's book?)but after reading your review, I read the sample pages on Amazon and added the book to my list.. I'm a sucker for animals and as an adult, all of my pets have come into my home, becoming a part of my family in unexpected (or impulsive) ways. Just the little bit I know about the book, it brings up memories of me bringing home an abandoned cat after finishing grad school that I was caring for (driving 3000 miles from FL to UT) - I just couldn't leave her, and everyone in the apartment complex asked if I was taking her with when I moved home.

A Book for Oreo will definitely get a thumbs up from me as I am an Animal rights activist and myself surrounded with so many pets. The review looks good and has described how the book would be. I am keen to read this one soon to see the 15+ years of Journey of Caralee and Oreo. Congrats on being the BOTD. :)

This review makes this book sound like something that, I would enjoy reading once for fun. Then again when I need something to make me feel warm, fuzzy, and happy again. Even though I am sure when Oreo passed on is very sad. It is something I feel would be a good book that when you you need a spirititual pick me up, to remember there are so many little things, like a cat, that can bring joy to our hearts.
