Empire of Illusion

This book for me, was spellbinding. I could not put it down, and it infuriated and excited me more then any other non-fiction book has before. I think that Hedges writing is powerful, and to the point. He knows his audience well, and writes to trigger those emotions that make people want to fight for something.

I'd like other peoples opinions on some of the topics in this book.
One of my least favorite ideas was the illusion of happiness. When he sheds light on our governments positive thinking rememdy as a way to trick people into submissive behavior, I almost threw the book!
