I love a good murder mystery and I think this one might be well worth reading. From the opening section I gather that the female dectective is coming off a bad relationship. It might justify the quick turnaround you mention. It will be interesting to see... Thanks for the review

I love reading crime fiction, so this one is right up my alley?. Thanks for the tip about upcoming romantic bits(not so usual in crime, but I'm up for it) hoping that telling me she has a happy ending isn't a spoiler...but I will read it and find out for myself...nice thorough review.

Thanks for the review. I think it is a shame that with the plot twists that the character actions would be as disappointing as you made them appear to be. I am glad that you were still able to enjoy it enough to give it a 4 out of 4 though.

Wow! I especially loved the prologue for this book. Because the start of a story usually dictates whether I want to keep reading or not, this really hooked me. Hopefully I'll be able to find the time to read the rest of this book sometime!

It sounds very much like a book I would be interested in, I love murder mysteries especially when they have the twists and turns as you described. I'm thinking all through the review I will read this until the last part of the review. I do not like strong language, sex or gore. I do appreciate the reviewer pointing this out, so I did not waste my time starting to read the book.

Thank you for the awesome review!

I read the sample and it hooked me right off the bat - I loved the way we started off the story in someone's thoughts.

same problems that real police have – too little information, too much information, incorrect information, and of course, no idea how any of it fits together.

This is an interesting observation by reviewer katiesquilts. As an ex-cop, I find it easy to agree with this. The rest of this detailed review made me want to go beyond the sample (which was also good) and download the full book.

It's well written, with vivid description, good character development, suspenseful plot. It's hard to stop reading! I haven't read anything Brian O'Hare, but I will be looking for his books to read now. I wanted to include a little part from the book that really built suspense as in a movie, but I don't know if that's allowed.
