If you are a true horror fan read Preta's Realm: The Haunting by J. Thorn. It is book 1 in the trilogy. I recently did a review on it. If anyone reads it or have read it please share your thoughts..

I would recommend NOS4A2 by Joe Hill. I'm not done with it yet, but I am halfway through and I can't seem to put it down for long. It's definitely a thriller that will keep you guessing.

I highly recommend the Long Beach Homicide series by Tyler Dilts.
1: A King Of Infinite Space
2: The Pain Scale
3: A Cold and Broken Hallelujah
All of them were fantastic!

Rex Miller, before his death, wrote a series based on his character that makes Hannibal Lecture like Mr. Goody Two-Shoes. The first in this series is titled Slob. Very intense and yet compelling at the same time. If you are looking for a new series that leaves you gasping for more, this is it.

I need a good recommendation as well. I love James Patterson's series but I don't a lot of other authors to look out for. I am going to try the book you guys have recommended. Let me know if there are any other must reads! I love horror as well!

Since I didn't see a separate topic for suspense, I'm going to assume it fits into this area. If not, please let me know.

I've been reading Mary Higgins Clark's books since I first got my hands on "Where are the Children". What I find consistently enjoyable in her books is the interweaving of the different characters and different locales, which as you are reading, seem not to have anything to do with one another but as you progress through the book, everyone and everything all becomes intertwined. Love that about her writing style. Definitely keeps me turning pages to find out how it all comes together.

I recommend all of her books but especially some of her older ones like "Where are the Children", "A Stranger is Watching" and "The Cradle will Fall".

Books of R LStine, Agatha Christie and James Hadley Chase are very interesting books on crime. these three authors write in a style which is very interesting and fascinating to read.
