Seduction for Hire by W K Corvo is a book in the crime thriller genre. The book holds appeal for the readers of murder mysteries and crime thrillers.

Michael Anselletti’s life is not perfect. He married a second time to get over his first wife, but after a mere six months his second marriage is also on the brink of divorce. An affair with his gorgeous, attractive, blonde colleague, Suzanne, seems like a good idea to him. However, Suzanne has plans of her own and toys with Michael’s lust. A game of passion produces deadly results as Suzanne ends up murdered next to Michael in bed and he has no idea who did it or how did it happen. Left with no choice, Michael flees the scene and is on the run from the Law. With the cops looking for him left, right and center, a pile of evidence mounted against him and a huge reward placed on his head, Michael has to prove his innocence and fast. Will he succeed or will he be convicted for a crime he never committed?

The story in this book is an old wine in a new bottle. The author has tried to give a new flavor to this story by introducing some interesting twists in the storyline. Seduction, sexual manipulation, Italian eccentricities, a couple of thick headed ruffians, etc, provide for good plot twists in the book. The author has sketched interesting characters in this story. The protagonist of this story, Michael or Mike, has clearly messed up a lot. He is not completely blameless in what happens to him though it is more a result of his foolishness, than his cheating tendencies. The author also gives the readers loveable side characters like Elaine and Bobby. Their trust and subconscious belief in Mike’s innocence is nice to read about. My favorite character though, is Cog, who with his immense coolness (most of the time) and smart plans, is able to bail out Michael from some really tough situations.

The only disappointing factor in this book was its predictability. I could guess the real culprit before even reaching the halfway mark in the story. The only question that remained was the motive. Mike’s adventures are no doubt quite thrilling to read about, but the mystery in this murder mystery is an easy one to solve.

Despite this drawback, the story is engrossing and entertaining, with some heartwarming characters. I rate this book 3 out of 4 stars.

Really nice review! "old wine in a new bottle" is a great line!

Nice, easy-flowing review. Story sounds okay. Don't mind predictability much, as long as the novel is peach to read.
