Richard Bachman

Post by Onefreethinkersays »

Stephen King is my hands down favourite writer. Whether I'm backed into a corner to ward off things going bump, creeping up on me, or if I have silent tears roll down my face, King plays my emotions like a god. Especially interesting are the works written under his alias, Richard Bachman. I feel as though King leans towards the supernatural terror, where Bachman uses the horrors of humanity to send fear deep into your soul. If you need a good scare but don't like the fantasy King uses, try a Bachman book!

I am with you - to me, what made my spine tingle about Richard Bachman's stories was that they might actually happen, somewhere, somehow...............

It is interesting the different way he writes under his alias. Maybe it was inspiration for one of his books The Dark Half in which an author's alias comes to life and tries to take over. I really enjoy King's symbolism.
